New super size 4K display seriesDecember 6, 2018
Panasonic expands range of 4K displays with two large format panels in 86 and 98 inches
The slim, lightweight SQ1 range supports HDR and provides 4K high quality images at 500 cd/m2, ensuring crisp images and stylish digital signage installations. Capable of both portrait and landscape display including a tilt installation of up to 20 degrees, the range features several connectivity and set up options for simple installation.
Flexibility comes in the shape of a new multi-screen output feature. This allows a single panel to be split in to a four-quadrants, or two picture by picture variants or one of four picture in picture effects. In addition, it’s possible to build a large-screen video wall of up to 100 screens in 10 x 10 configuration.
Unique image adjustment
Well suited to environments such as retail, education, museums and corporate, the screens are designed for 24/7 hours of usage and have a brand new 12-segment colour management feature and 6 picture modes enhancing the flexibility of image adjustment. This enables the adjustment of colour tone, density and brightness parameters individually for red, green, and blue, as well as the complementary colours of cyan, magenta and yellow.
4K USB media player
With digital signage applications in mind, the SQ1 has a 4K USB media player which eliminates the need for external playback devices and allows for the remote updating of content. A failover and fallback function immediately switches the system to alternative signals if the main video signal is interrupted.
Another key feature of the SQ1 series is a new ultra-slim Intel® SDM port which enables signage to be operated via a third-party built in PC ensuring future expandability.
Available in January 2019
The 98” and 86” models together with a multi touch infrared version of the SQ1 range will be available in January 2019.
